Labelert Granular Gmail Notifications for Android

Use Labelert in conjunction with Gmail's labels and filters to notify you differently depending on what label is applied to an email.

  • Select any of your Gmail accounts

    Labelert works with any Gmail account that is setup in the Gmail application

  • Choose a label you want a notification for

    Labelert will allow you to choose any label that has been setup in your Gmail account. This include the Priority Inbox Label.

  • Decide on a notification style

    Choose a LED color, vibration style, and ringtone. Also you can choose to get reoccuring notifications until the email is read or the notification is selected.

  • Notification

    When notified Labelert will create a notification in the status bar and display the subject along with a snippet of the body in the notification.

About Us

Labelert was created by me, Gregory Sarrica. I was tired of checking my Android phone every time the green led flashed and the phone said "Drrrroid". I created Labelert to tell me who was emailing me and what it was about. I quickly labeled my google voice SMS messages along with voicemail emails, Facebook emails, and other important messages. Then I just applied different notifications to each. Now I am never stuck running to my phone if it is just someone sending me another Facebook survey to take.

Labelert 2.0 July 27th 2011

It's here... What many have been asking for... Archived email notifications! If you have filters on labels that automatically archive your email you can now get notifications for them. Albeit not as great notifications but at least its something. Labelert will display the Label Name along with the total unread count for that label. As with any new feature I have tested it myself but if you have any issues please send me an email.

If you use repeatable notifications you must either press the notification in the notification list or read the email to stop the notification from repeating. (Pressing clear wont stop it.) Please let me know if there are issues with this.

  • FixedBug where if you went back into Labelert it would show Gmail instead. Now it should show your settings.
